It all started when...
The idea of an artisan, sourdough, bread based bakery came together in the fall of 2008. A regular customer at Creektown Café offered to back me for my own place. We started planning and then that same winter 5 restaurants closed, in one month. We put the brakes on pretty quick and it was then that Rachel suggested a bakery. We loved great bread and deeply missed having access to it, having moved to Walla Walla from a number of metropolitan areas. I had done some bread work in culinary school ages before and knew what I was looking for in the end product. I just had no idea how to get there.
After 9 years of blood, sweat and a lot of tears Rachel and I have come to the conclusion it is time for us to pursue the next chapter, and so it is, with no trepidation we announce The Walla Walla Bread Company is for sale.
A full bar, we offer, beer, wine, happy hour and a full range of brunch and craft cocktails.
